To Do List:

i. Wake up on the third ring of the alarm; make the universe believe third time’s really the charm.

ii. Sit in a closed classroom with an open mind. Look at people passing by, let the hurt and frustration in. The only way out is the only way through.

iii. Turn to look out the window. Remember, you are filled with love too. That is what will get you through to the shore.

iv. Realize you don’t want to reach the shore. You just want to reach the part of the ocean where the waves don’t topple you every two seconds.

v. Convince yourself that the one online quiz was right. You are really only 10% anxious. Spend three minutes telling yourself this, because third time’s the charm, always.

vi. Hear a part of your mind tell you that another 10% of you is sad. Admit it to yourself. Your sadness makes you a person.

vii. Also admit that another 60% of you is happiness, and anger, so raw, the world can bloom or burn.

viii. Another 10% is smoke, like a burning chimney. Your poems on fires stand for that. A 20% is caffeine, and the last 10% is all the love you’ve given away, which is to say it is empty.

ix. Sit in the sun, in the shade, near dogs and near cats. Sit everywhere and make yourself feel at home.

x. Take the metro home. Yes, cars are comfortable, but maybe you can meet your next book buddy in the metro.

xi. Go home and have an ice cream. Scroll through Tumblr and fall asleep doing so. Nightmares visit regularly, but keep yourself on speed dial, because you’ll always pick up.

xii. Laugh alone. Laugh with people. Make someone happy. Make yourself happy.

(To do for tomorrow: check all the items on the list you managed to do today. Make the remaining ones your agenda. Live and love, hurt and smile.)

Be, because how beautiful is it to be anything at all.
